Last night Emunah Neve Landy celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of ten boys who live in the residential children’s village with a very special party. These boys all come from traumatic and troubled backgrounds and Emunah gives them a safe, secure and happy home. From their entrance down a long white carpet accompanied by drums and the sound of the shofar, the boys were treated like kings! They made speeches, received gifts and danced into the night. They were joined by young men from Efrat who helped to create an incredible atmosphere. Director Yosefa Akler, Emunah Israel CEO David Hadari, and representatives from the local welfare services all expressed their congratulations to the celebrants, as staff and the other 60 boys who also live in the village joined in the festivities. Yosefa praised each of the Bar Mitzvah boys and highlighted their unique special qualities. The evening was made possible due to the generosity of the Levine family, who sponsored the event in loving memory of Bennett Levine z’l. It was truly a night to remember!
